DESCRIPTION

The Certificate: Introduction: Production Operations Management enables the skills and competencies required for the management of production and operations management. The programme includes knowledge of production planning, inventory control, material control, work scheduling, quality control, and operations analysis.In addition, skills and competencies include leadership, motivation of people, purchasing, budget control and effective communication within the business environment. The skills offered by the programme will support the effective handling of operations management within a production context in various manufacturing environments.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS,COURSE DURATION AND CAREER FIELDS

Learners who register for this qualification should demonstrate:

  • The ability to express themselves clearly and correctly both orally and in writing in English
  • The ability to apply numerical skills, including basic arithmetic, (add, subtract, divide, multiply)
  • A basic interest or experience in the practice of Production/ Operations Management and
  • Competence at Grade 10 or equivalent level or RPL,or alternatively older than 16years
